Natukodi Pulusu Recipe Prepared By Smt Jhansi Lakshmi ***** Article Written By Lakshmi Aparna Serves 4-5 Ingredients:Natukodi (Country Chicken) : 1 kg Ullipayalu (Onions) : 1/4 kg Pachimirapa (Green Chillies) : 5 Lavangalu, Dalchina Chekka, Yelukkayi (Cloves, Cinnamon, Cardamom) : Few Masala Powder ( Fried 5 Lavang or Cloves, 2 Cardamom, 2cm Dalchina Chekka or Cinnamon, 4tsp Dhaniyalu or Corriander seeds) : 3-4 tsp Pasupu (Turmeric Powder) : 4 tsp Allam Velulli (Ginger, Garlic) Paste : 4 tsp Karam (Red Chilly Powder) : 2-3 tsp Salt : 2-3 tsp Jeedipappu (Cashews) : 6-7 Oil : 2-3 tsp Kothimeera (Corriander Leaves) Pudina (Mint Leaves) Procedure:Step 1 : Marinate Chicken adding 2 tsp Turmeric Powder, 2 tsp Red Chilly Powder and 2 tsp Salt for 1 hour Mean while Cut Onions and Green Chillies into pieces Step 2 : Heat 2-3 tsp Oil in a Pressure cooker , fry Cloves, Cinnamon and Cardamom for 1 min in high flame Step 3 : Add Mint Leaves, immediately add Onions and Green Chillies Step 4 : Add 2 tsp Turmeric Powder and 1/2 tsp Salt to Onions Step 5 : Fry for 10 min till golden brown colour in medium flame by mixing once in 3 min Step 6 : Add 2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste to fried Onions, mix it and fry for 5 min in medium flame Step 7 : Add Marinated Chicken to it Step 8 : mix it and close the cooker for 5 min in low flame so that water from chicken will come out Step 9 : Add 500-600 ml water to chicken and let whistle come for 3 times in high flame and 5 min in low flame (Natu kodi letaga vunte 3 whistle chalu, muduruga vunte 5 whistles ranivvali) Step 10 : Open the cooker and add 3-4 tsp masala powder to it , cook for 5 min in medium flame Step 11 : Add Coriander Leaves, mix it and let it cook for 2 min Step 12 : Blend Cashews into powder and add to the chicken, cook for 10 min by mixing it once in 3 min.
